Powerpack 1 Disaster

Question

I have just installed PP1 on a multi-drive WHS without incident (or so it seemed). Rebooted & in the WHS console (running on the WHS) all PCs show backup status as unknown. No backups available to view & configure backups greyed out. Shared folders are all intact.
NOT IMPRESSED.
I assume the database is fried. Is there any chance that the backups can be recovered?

Please file a bug on Connect at http://connect.microsoft.com/WIndowsHomeServer and submit your CAB files using the Toolkit. If you don't submit bugs via Connect with your logs - then the team can do nothing to help you.

You should probably submit the CABs anyway.Tuesday, June 10, 2008 7:15 PMModerator

Thanks for the prompt reply. Fortunately, this issue now appears to be only a minor bug. Once I updated the connector software on one of the backed up PCs, all the backups assumed their original status & earlier backups & backup config details then re-appeared. How do you want me to report this? I guess the CABs aren't required, just details of the circumstances.
