Switching Hrd Dirves between two identical computers RRS feed

     I have two identical computers and each has it's OEM version of Windows Vista.  One of the other boards died and i will be getting rid of that box.  I would like to take the hard drive out of the dead computer and install it in the working machine.

    Each computer had it's own product code for win vista.  So if I install the hard drive into the box with the working mother board , can I just change the product code to match the new motherboard ?   Both machines are registered to me.  The only thing i am trying to do here is make one good machine out of two and keep things legal.
