Purchased Win 7 Ultimate Genuine Advantage kit and my product key will not activate the software....

Question
-
My brother in law recently passed away and I discovered his computer had a non genuine copy of Win 7 Ultimate on it. I purchased the kit from microsoft online and followed the instructions to change the product key and it is still telling me that my copy of Win 7 Ultimate is not genuine.
My credit card has been billed and I have a printed confirmation the order went through.
Any ideas on how to activate?

Ok. From your MGADiag Report. I can see this problem.
Licensing Data-->
Input Error: Can not find script file "C:\Windows\system32\slmgr.vbs".Download WATFix and run it. DO NOT try and close it down while it is running. Wait for it to finish. It will then reboot your system automatically.
Once you're back in Windows again. Repost another MGADiag Report.
WATFix may set off your AV/Malware protection software. So either disable it until you are back into Windows or add it to the exlcusions list then run it. It isn't a virus.

2. Run it and click the continue button. Wait a few seconds.
3. Then click the copy button. Right click and paste the full report given in this thread only.

Oops, I just missed something in the report.
In the Bios information it shows.

This indicates that a hacker's loader application has been used at some point to illegally active Windows. You need to clear the loader from the MBR.
By following these instructions below.
* Boot up the PC from your Windows installation disk
* Select the "Repair your computer" option
* Select "Command Prompt"
* Input "bootsect.exe /nt60 SYS /force" (without quotes)
* Restart the PC

Duh?- the report still shows as non-genuine with an HP SLIC in a no-name motherboard.It should NOT have passed validation.@Invictusplease post another new MGADiag report post-validation.
