Communicator Web and RCC RRS feed

  • Does anyone know if Communicator Web supports RCC connections? I can't seem to find anything definitive either way.

     

    I have RCC to CUPS working and I have communicator Web enabled in my lab.  There is no obvious interface within the web client, i.e. when you right click a contact there is no “call” option.  However, there is a phone handset icon when viewing a “contact card”, which when clicked shows all the same phone information.  However, you don’t seem to be able to click to dial any of the numbers.  At first I figured this meant, RCC = no can do.  Then I accidentally came across one interesting thing: when you hover over the aforementioned phone icon, you get a “no phone system connection” tooltip pop up.

     

    Made me suspicious.

    Hi Fred,

    CWA doesn't support this feature, either with RCC or Enterprise Voice. You can control some options through CWA, like where you want calls forwarded to etc. But You can't make calls from the CWA client.

  • Thanks Matt, did you find this documented somewhere?  Seems a shame, since I could see where they could/should be able to technically support RCC.

     

    Also, I do not see any call forwarding controls present within the CWA interface either.
