I may have missed somthing, but it was not from a lack of effort.

I performed everything to the best of my ablity for Article ID 910656, used the Onecare uninstall tool.

I also have tried installing from CD and from the internet install.

Any help would be great;  I feel like the subscritpion I paid for is going to run out before I get this issue resolved!

  • Error 0017 indicates that something is hindering the installer's ability to obtain the files needed for installation of OneCare from the server. It could be a connectivity issue or a server problem, but the most common reason tends to be local problems with something blocking the download. For example, another firewall could be interfering, the use of an authenticating proxy server, or even something as simple as the settings in IE for the connection.
