System Restore RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows Home Server has "System Restore" active and I could fined no way to configure it.  In that Windows Home Server operates Headless and with the lack of the "Help and Support Center"  I can find no way to actually use "System Restore."  If this service is actually without use, I would like to free the drive storage that seems to always have files locked in order to assist the defragmentation process.

  • If you really want to disable the System Restore functionality, or access anything else on the server as its headless all you need to do is connect to it using Remote Desktop. Just fire up the Remote Desktop software from your computer, put your WHS details in, the username is Administrator and the password is whatever you setup.
