Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition transfer RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a desk top PC that has Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition installed on it.  I also have a netbook I will be using for school when I start working on my Master's.  Without the product installation disks but a valid and genuine product that I got with the desk top can I transfer Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition to my netbook and still have it on my PC?  I know that this edition allows you to have it on up to three PC's, but I am unsure if I can transfer it without any disks.  If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks.

  • Hello mjjxyrn,

If your Office H&S 2007 is a retail license, you can download the installation files onto your netbook from this link:  http://www.microsoft.com/office/downloads/hs/Default.aspx

If your Office H&S 2007 is an OEM and not a retail product, the product's Software Licensing Terms do not allow the product to be moved from the computer onto which it was originally installed.
