  • Question

  • Hello,

I have a PWA instance provisioned. When I try to access using http://hostname:port/pwa I can access the page. There is an AAM setup configured. When trying to access https://<some text>:8081/pwa it throws the error above. But I could access https://<some texts>:8081/sites/sitename which is a sharepoint site collection.

I checked in the ULS and Event viewer there are no entry regarding this error. Really need help to fix this. Any advice/solution/opinion related to the issue is highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Thanks Sir for your respond.

Fortunately got it working. I needed to run the SP Config Wizard and start the MS Project Server Services in the servers where my PS is installed. After restarting the server I was then able to access the PWA site using the DNS Alias name.

Anyway, I will still go through the link you  sent to gain more knowledge and make it as one of my reference point for resolving other sharepoint/project server related issues.

  • In adition to Dave answer, you might want to ask the question at SharePoint forums.

There are several forum specific for different topics and version regarding SharePoint. In this link you can find all these forums. In first glance seems like the forum SharePoint Server 2016 might fit your question. You can find there thousands of questions regarding PWA and if the answer is not there already, you can open a new thread with your question.

    -----------------------------------------

    * Small tip for the future: Please close the thread :-)

Each time you open a thread (question) you should close the thread at the end, so other people that come to help will not west time on reading the entire thread only to find out that the issue was solve.

Closing the thread is done by marking the answer(s) you got or in case you found the answer yourself and there is not other message which fit as answer, then you can mark your own message with the explanation as the answer

Once you mark an answer in the thread the ICON of the thread is changed to "V" instead of "?"

    * By the way, each person that you vote to his message get 5 points (for example I think that a new member in the forum that remember to come back and say thanks to these who tried to help him - should get voted, so I voted your explanation and now you have 5 points).

** In addition each person that his message marked as answer get between 10 to 20 points (there are several parameters) unless he asked the question. The person who asked the question cannot get points on answering it.
