Email attachments in Quick Campaigns CRM 2011 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to 'Save' the email layout on a Quick Campaign before completing the activity so that you can add an attachment?  It seems that the only way to add an attachment is to use Email via Mail Merge, not just the Email option.  Is that correct?

  • The only way I can think of doing this semi-elegantly is to create a new email activity, save, add in the attachment and then bring in the recipients via the lookup (where you can specify a view to use).

  • You are right but you can do that using templates.

    I hope this helps.

  • This is fine if you have the same attachment going out each time, but the point of us trying to use the Quick Campaign is because we regularly distribute a newsletter and so the attachment changes each week.  Even using a template, it doesn't open up the Attachment options on the Quick Campaign activity.  Is the only way to use a Mail Merge?
