"Live Mesh Remote Desktop is not available" RRS feed

    Currently I get on one of my pc's a
    "Live Mesh Remote Desktop is not available" 

    I did an unshare-share while being on my work network.
    Now being an my home network, I get the above warning.
    Taking the pc off the home network and signing on to UMTS, the warning disappears...

    Question:
    What triggers the warning "Live Mesh Remote Desktop is not available"?
    Why does it appear on one network and not on the other?
    (BTW: latest Mesh version, XP SP3 + updates; even tried with disabled firewalls)

    Hi Akja,

    Sounds like a networking problem to me - if the warning only appears when the machine is connected to a specific network. Can you still connect to the machine regardless of the warning (I've had that before)?

    Also, is the home network NAT'ed outwards? If so, then does your modem / router employ some sort of firewall? How about your home internet provider? I'm not sure what UMTS is, but does it provide a specific machine a direct connection to the internet?

    I'd also go ahead and collect logs in both situations (with and without warning, on the target machine) and submit a bug.

    What do you mean by unshare/share on the work network? Was the Live Mesh client installed on the PC when on the home network or work network? Did the remote desktop work originally?
