Ive had the same laptop, a Toshiba Satellite PRO M30 for about 3 years and over the course of time have had to reinstall a couple of times from hardware failure or viruses.
This happened 2 days ago, and since i am a university student i did not have the installation CD with me. Instead i had to borrow a friends DELL one, although i then downloaded all my drivers etc from the toshiba website. The problem is it then says that my validation (product key) is incorrect. Is this since his CD is specific for his set of product keys or is it solveable?
Or do i have to request my toshiba CD is sent up from home and reinstall XP for my product key to work?
