Publing registration timeout CRM2011 RRS feed

  • Dear all,

    I am facing a time out issue when trying to publish a pluging via PluginRegistration tool. And I have no idea where the isse can come from ((

    - the pluging size is 11KB

    - I tried to upgrade the timeout parameter following http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918609 but don't work, still 2 mins (server restarted)

    CRM configuration:

    - CRM2011 Rollup 15 installed on Windows Server 2012

    - SQL Server 2012

    It's the first plugin i tried to publish. We are migrating from CRM Online to On Premise.

    The error message is the following:

    Unhandled Exception: System.TimeoutException: The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:01:59.9844001. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.

  • Hi,

    I don't know what the cause since your stack trace doesn't help much. Just some workaround you can try. You're migrating from Online to On-Premise then I suppose you already have an solution along with plugin dll installed on CRM server already.

    1. If you need to update plugin dll, try to remove the existing dll along with message steps first then re-install it.

    2. If 1 does not work change the isolate mode and deployment mode.

    3. Where is your Plugin Registration tool run? CRM server or SQL server or a computer? Could you try to change the location.
