    The windows live onecare has blocked my windows media player and i have no idea how to unblock it.

    Please help

    Open One Care>Change Settings>Firewall>Advanced Settings>Programs, find Windows Media Player and select "Allow".

    I'll add that OneCare allows Windows Media Player by default unless you chose to block it due to being prompted. If it is unable to access the Internet/network, but turning off the OneCare firewall temporarily allows it *and* you do not see Windows media Player in the block/allow list as blocked, please contact support.

    Thanks! It took me a while before I found these settings. In my opinion this OneCare firewall should have been part of Windows Vista. :(
