I have noticed that in my daily transport.log, I consistently get a particular error, every day for 18 months:
[8/15/2010 1:02:46 AM d24] *** Client 15dfdbc0-dcd9-43df-a118-37a8527bf6e0 has an obsolete version #4 of transport protocol, needs an upgrade to 09770000. (The client GUID changes depending on which clients are currently on.)
I have no problems currently - that I'm aware of - yet I'd like to know what [transport protocol] refers to in the context of WHS. These errors have happened whether I was on PP1 or PP3. I *think* the number of the upgrade (09770000) might have changed with
PP3.
I'm sure this is a harmless message, but have searched the web and see that
no one anywhere has identified what the transport protocol is, and why it remains mismatched through PP1/PP3. Can anyone shed light on this?
