Windows Mobile add in - noob question RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to install the Windows Mobile add in so I can more easily access my server from my HTC Touchpro 2 running Windows Mobile.  The instructions say to copy the .msi file to the add ins folder, but when I download and unzip the add in there is no file with an extension .msi.

Where is this file and/or what am I doing wrong?

  • You can download the latest version (1.5.3) of the WHS Mobile AddIn and the Windows Mobile Application from here:

There are two packages: One .msi package that represents the WHS AddIn. This one needs to be placed in the addins folder on the software share of your home server. The other one is a .cab package which can be opened and installed directly on your Windows Mobile-based phone.
