OneCare Circle at Risk warning with no Actions to take? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I recently had my laptop motherboard replaced due to a failed onboard video chip.  Ever since then, I am getting the "At Risk" warning.  The warning is: "Urgent.  Go to the help center.  OneCare has encountered a problem and might not be protecting this PC".

There is a "Help" button in the warning that when clicked, takes me to the Windows Live OneCare Help Center.  But that page just has links to generic Tech support issues and none are applicable to my problem.

Since I have had this problem, I have uninstalled OneCare, removed my laptop from the OneCare circle, then reinstalled.  I still end up gettign the same warning.  All my settings appear to be normal as well: firewall on, virus protection on, back-up configured (off).

I can't figure out what the problem is.  Anyone have any advice?
