Why MAPI subsystem problem when MS Outlook to Exchange is configured RRS feed

  • Question

  • This is a newly-setup MS CRM 2011 server setup on one system, and MS SQL 2012 on another system. After successfully setting up SQL, followed by MS CRM 2011, I also managed to setup Reporting extension on SQL DB Server. Now, I faced a problem when I tried to setup Email Router on my CRM server. Althought I have already installed MS Outlook 2010, configured one MAPI Mail profile, but still, when I wanted to setup CRM Email router, the setup told me the MAPI subsystem was not found. What is missing?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Check out KB951401

Sounds like you need to install the MAPI client libraries

  • Hi Jason,

I already downloaded and set it up in my CRM server. Still, I can't see the MAIL icon on control panel, and EMail router setup also failed.

  • Another suggestion - uninstall Outlook then re-install the MAPI client libraries.

Otherwise maybe you could post a the trace from the install for some additional clues.
