I have a Gateway computer that came loaded with windows xp media center edition. i have a corrupt boot file and now windows wont boot. i cant even boot with F8 and run a recovery debug or anything. I know i need to boot from a disc the problem is i dont
have the discs that came with it, not only that but i also contacted gateway and they said there is no way of them to get me one. my question is... I have a copy of windows xp home edition. can i boot from the HE disc and run a repair? From what i was told
windows xp MCE was only shipped on a PC it was not an upgrade disc. also correct me if i am wrong i was told that the only difference between MCE and HE is that MCE has the media center programs included
