Genuine advantage validation bug

Question

Hi Microsoft,
don't you think there is a real issue ?
Look at all the preceding posts !
I called Microsoft France yesterday, after days of internet lecture and trial and error to resolve the issue. A lady verified with me my WIN 7 (64 bits) code "bit by bit". The code was working without any problems since 2009. After taht, she said everything is ok. I was sceptical because I tried since several days to remove this "not genuine" message coming up every 30 minutes. But she reassured me that I should not worry and that there was no problem.
By the way, I now have a file number with Microsoft in France.
So what is going on ?
Are you, Microsoft, trying to force people to accept WIN 10 ?
I am EXPECTING a CLEAR answer within a short period !

Bonjour,
I did a re-install, not a totally fresh install, but an upgrade install - to WIN 7 (not WIN 10).
There was no problem at at all to activate (automatically).
The "not genuine" message, continuing to pop up regularly, even after activation and even when downloading the more than 200 updates in portions (after restart), is now finally gone. You thus may consider the problem as solved.
(There was a problem - in windows update - with the latest net framework updates (4.5.2 / 4.6.1) and apparently some corruption. I used the "windows update fix" and the "windows update diagnostic cab", ... but I do not know whether the error was linked to that).
Ciao !

Microsoft is not forcing anyone to upgrade to Windows 10. However, the upgrade is free and easy to install. But after July 29, 2016, the free upgrade offer will end.

Hi,
thank you for your reply, ... not really helpful.
After the message appeared agin this morning, I did a new MGDiag-test and it says that my windows 7 is genuine.
But I also found the following message on my computer. I made a screenshot, but I do not know how to upload, so I retaped the whole text:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Server Error in '/genuine Application
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occured on the server: The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could however be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: to enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable, please create a <customError> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the rrot directory of the current web application. This <customError> tag should then have its"mode" attribute set to "Off".
<!--Web.Config Configuration file -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors.mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuaration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's "customErrors" configuaration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
<!--Web.Config Configuration file -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors.mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>

What the hell does this mean ?
Any idea ?

Hi,
yesterday evening, when I shut down the computer, I saw that a Windows update was installed, despite the fact that my configuaration is set in such a way, that Microsoft needs my authorisation to install updates.
The update is NOT on the list of updates (my last update on the list dates from February 11, yesterday was February 13, however). It was thus a secret update, which further explicitely and transparently (I could see the messages on the blue screen saying that an update was going on) disregarded my will and my configuration of the windows update policy ???.
And finally, the "not genuine" message was back this morning !
So again, could someone please tell me what is going on ?

1. Download the Microsoft Genuine Advantage diagnostic tool. Click Run, and then click Continue.
The tool will scan your computer, and then provide a summary of your computer's settings and system details that will help the MGA support team understand the problem.
To copy your results to the Clipboard, click Copy.
2. Return to this post and Paste the results. A MGA volunteer expert will analyze it and offer troubleshooting suggestions. Thank you!

Please post a new MGADiag report so we can see how things look now - at least if you're still having problems upgrading!
