Passing a parameter from Reports menu to SSRS Report RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I am just 4 days old in CRM as well as SSRS, so please bare with me if my question are too immature. I have got a task to Create a SSRS report which will pass the Quotation no from the Quotation screen & will show all the related entities for the Quotation. I have created the report in SSRS with a parameter for Quotation No. But I don't know how to pass it from the report's menu, present on the Quotation Screen. Please if possible give me a detailed explanation of how to do that. Thanks in advance.

    With Regards

  • Hi Amar,

There is an automated way of binding the current record context to reports in CRM using “magic” prefix CRMAF_ in CRM 4.0. In theory it should work like a charm, and in most of the times it does.

You don't need to pass the Quotation GUID to the reports. MS CRM automatically passed the record details to the Report.

Make Sure in you reports you are fetching the data from FilterdViews and it will be prefix by CRMAF_.

For more details please see the below article.

    Hope this helps.
