What is the correct/current version number? RRS feed

  • Question

  • This may be covered elsewhere, but I could't find it...

I had error messages when trying to get online updates and installing the WHS-KB944289-v1-x86-ENU.exe update.

After I got all that straightened out, I tried again to install the KB update, and get the message that it doesn't apply to this version.

I'm hoping that this means I have the update correctly installed.

Winver shows: Version 5.2 (Build 3790.srv03_sp2_gdr.070926-1208 : Service Pack 2)

Windows Homw Server components show: 6.0.1771.0

Is this correct for the current beta version?

    Thanks,

  • 6.0.1771.0 (shown in the WHS Console) is the correct version number. You probably downloaded and installed the eval software which has PP1 included, rather than the eval software that you would then update to include PP1.
