CRM 2011: Duplicate detection rule RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello guys,

I need your help, please answer my questions:

    1. Can you tell me what OOB duplication detection rules are supported in CRM 2011?

    2. Is it support OR criteria in one rule or I need to create 2 rules to handle that?

    3. Is there a way to write a custom duplicate detection rule or I must write a plugin to handle that?

    Thanks in advanced.

  • Hi,

    Find teh answer below:

    1. Yes they are supported

    2. No or rules are supported and if you will create two rules and activate them then both will run validate there conditions

    3. You can create duplicate detection rule entity record duplicaterule  and Rule Conditions by creating duplicaterulecondition entity record via CRMService.Create request and invoke duplication detection rule programatically (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg309427.aspx_)
