  • Hi, I have answered a question however its my own question, and its marked as an answer by a moderator, i asked him and this is alright.

    I still did not received any points. is this a bug or should i wait longer?

  • You don't get points for answering your own questions.

    It is not a bug because

    a) there is no reason why someone should get points for answering their own questions.

    b) if there were points it would be all too easy for people to post a question and then answer it quickly before anyone else got a chance (and mark it).

    There are however occasionally cases where this has been a reasonable assumption.

    Thanks for this clarification. I'm just wondering because I've read the FAQs, I'm not that eager to get points though I just want to clarify this :)
