Cannot pass validation check after installing new motherboard

Question
-
We recently installed a new motherboard because a power serge fried the original one. We have a Gateway DX4300-11
Windows 7 is 64-bit.
I ran the "Recreate the Licensing store" as suggested on other posts.
I was given the option to purchase or enter a product key...
I entered the product key that was on the case, but got the error message that the key was invalid.
I then ran the MGAdiag...
One thing I noticed is the partial Product Key in the report is different than the product key on the case.

Unfortunately replacing the motherboard out of warranty conditions means that your Windows license is now invalid, as it was tied to the original board. You can try telephone activation of your COA Key - it may workUse the Change Product Key link on the System Properties page to change the key, then...To use telephone activation -
Click on the Start button
In the Search box, type
SLUI 4
pick your country/region, and follow the instructions.
If normal activation fails at this point , and you don't successfully get transferred to a rep, then redial and this time do NOT respond when asked which service you require - you should be transferred to a live rep who can assist.

I changed the product key to the one on the sticker from the Change Product Key Link, Then I ran the activation again from the computer, this time the activation cleared and the validation tool passed. So I didn't have to use the phone to activate...(For now) So thank you for your help. I think the first time I didn't actually "change" the product key. I just entered it for activation, or something like that. :)
