Powershell color-coding is just absurd

Question
-
The color-coding on the Code Insert window (at least under Powershell), is completely crazy. There are only three colors: Purple, green, and black, and they seem to be assigned on a completely random basis.
Please see attached screenshot, and try to explain the color-coding!

I have found that it doesn't matter what language you choose, the color-coding remains the same. Even if you just leave it on "Select Language", it does it's random colors anyway.

Grant,
this is true for any language but VB.NET. Usually the pre class = prettyprint for VB.NET it is prettyprint lang-vb. This results in a different coloring, but also does`n`t match the default coloring of the IDE.

If you have got questions about this, just ask.
In a perfect world,
users would never enter data in the wrong form,
files they choose to open would always exist
and code would never have bugs.
