Firewall Repair Tool

Question
-
OneCare cannot turn on the firewall. I downloaded the repair tool, but when I execute it gives an error Microsoft Sans Serif Font does not support Bold.
I have XP Professional Service Pack 3, and One Care 2.5.2900.2
Is there a new version of the reapir tool, and where can I download.

Hello Etem, there is only one version of the firewall repair tool. I have never seen that error before so I can only guess at what might work. Download the repair tool again - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/onecarefirewall/thread/e67b1989-afd5-47e5-a393-3a551c7c7e60 save it to your desktop and then run it by double clicking the downloaded file.
If the error occurs again you might try uninstalling One Care, run the cleanup tool - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/onecareinstallandactivate/thread/399071e2-49dc-4767-932d-d261e3965943 then reinstall One Care. If reinstalling does not resolve the issue or if you would prefer to not reinstall One Care you can contact support for help. Thank you very much. The repair tool worked, and the firewall is turned back on. I did not have to uninstall and re-install. Here was the issue:
I am the only user of this computer and my Userid is Etem and has admin privileges, however, there was no password for User "Etem". Once I assigned a password and logged on to User "Etem", the tool worked.
Lessones learned for Users:
1 - Always assign a password to your userids.
2 - Read the post carefully, if the post tells you to "Logon", do so.
Lessons learned for developers:
1 - If you want to send a message from the tool and tell the user to "Logon before you execute this tool", do so with a universal font which exists in every version of Windows.
Regards
