How Can I Cancel a Job in the Submitted State? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Somehow I got a job in my scheduler that is in the Submitted state and I cannot delete it.

When I export the job info, the XML shows me that the job has a dependency on groups that don't exist.

I never specify dependencies on my jobs. All other jobs I have submitted do not have dependencies.

Issuing the 'job cancel <jobid>' command results in "Jobs in the Submitted state cannot be canceled."

How can I cancel this job and clear the queue?

  • Hi Cdinnc,

Can you try restarting the HPC Job Scheduler service? it usually cleans up jobs.

  • Sorry we did not reply sooner. Did you manage to resolve this problem? If not, can you please send the Job XML file for your stuck job?
