Is there a way to get the same effect as a Combine in SyncToy 2.0? I'd like the sync to go both ways but just adding files that are missing on either side. So if you look at the example you guys provided for Contribute, I'd like that to happen, but would like file J.txt to get re-added to the Left side (it was deleted on the right side).
I have noticed the need for the "COMBINE" also....
I do not intend to do additional programming; however, consider....you break and make the pair when you believe it is time to combine. So the "make the pair," sync, "break the pair," sync, "make the pair," sync is the only way I can get SyncToy 2.1 to combine. It is a lot of work; however, it does work.
I have also tried to making two pairs, one from left to right and another that reverses the procedure; however, the problem is if I delete a file one of the files from one of the folders in the pair....the deleted file will not be replaced....
You are right.... an action similar to "COMBINE" needs to go back in the SyncToy...it could be an extension of "CONTRIBUTE" whereby you have an option to refresh a file that may have been deleted from the "RIGHT.'
So, currently, I break the pair and re-create the pair...and move on.
