  • Question

    1. After we imported Donation Management Accelerator getting error when running the following CrmSvcUtil.exe

      CrmSvcUtil.exe /codeCustomization:"Microsoft.Xrm.Client.CodeGeneration.CodeCustomization, Microsoft.Xrm.Client.CodeGeneration" /url:http://klientinfotest.crm4.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc /username:hari@live.co.uk /password:banked /deviceid:11ctkqh7svzttu2j1yf7xqxjep /devicepassword:=dPW#==L=g#)1i?0(+FYW+m0 /out:"Xrm.cs" /namespace:Xrm /servicecontextname:XrmServiceContext /servicecontextprefix:Xrm

      Exiting program with exception: Value cannot be null.
      Parameter name: CurrentServiceEndpoint
      Enable tracing and view the trace files for more information.

       Would it be possible for you to run with my credential’s and your deviceid / devicepassword to see if you get similar error.

  • Note: Microsoft has a bug in CRM Online now where a call to GetAllEntitiesRequest will fail in CRM deployments that are 'highly customized'.  The bottom line is that the firewall in the online data center will abort the call to that web service call if it takes too long.  This negatively affects your ability to regenerate your domain model.  They are aware of the issue and are working on it, but it is not resolved at the time I write this note.  The workaround that I usually use is to import the CRM online customizations into an on-prem CRM instance (even the demo VPC), and generate your code from there.

  • Have you tried enabling tracing for CrmSvcUtil.exe?
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <configuration>
     <system.diagnostics>
      <trace autoflush="false" indentsize="4">
       <listeners>
        <add name="configConsoleListener"
         type="System.Diagnostics.ConsoleTraceListener">
           <filter type="System.Diagnostics.EventTypeFilter" initializeData="Error" />
        </add>
       </listeners>
      </trace>
     </system.diagnostics>
    </configuration>
