  • Helo ahtt51,

Please follow these steps for assistance:

Step 1 is to run the utility at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012, then click the Windows tab, click the "Copy" button, then paste the report into a response in this thread.

Step 2 is to look on the computer or with the materials you received with the computer or with your retail purchase of Windows to see if you have a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).  If you have one, tell us about the COA.  Tell us:

    1.  What edition of Windows XP is it for, Home, Pro, or Media Center, or another version of Windows?

    2.  Does it read "OEM Software" or "OEM Product" in black lettering?

    3.  Or, does it have the computer manufacturer's name in black lettering?

    4.  DO NOT post the Product Key that may be printed on the CoA.

    5.  Retail packaging for Windows has the CoA on the outer boxtop.  The product key is inside the package on a yello-orange Proof Of License label.  Do not post the product key.

Not sure what to look for?  See this page for reference:  http://www.microsoft.com/resources/howtotell/en/coa.mspx

  • Your post was not quite clear of what intentions you have. If you are referring to uninstalling Windows, just delete the partitions.

  • Hello elaine5315,

Your computer has nongenuine Volume Licensing installations of both Windows XP Pro and Office Professional 2003.  These are nongenuine because they are Volume Licensing installations done with Blocked Volume Licensing Keys.

Do you have Certificates of Authenticity for Windows and/or Office?

  • Please start you own thread. This one is old and dead. Give much more information than you have given in the two posts you made.

Run the MGA Diagnostics shown in the first announcement at the top of this forum.  Without it we can't help you at all.

Please repost your report to your OWN NEW thread - this avoids confusion for all.
Having said that, your Key was never issued by Microsoft, and therefore must have been produced by a hacker's KeyGen utility. It is non-valid.
For what version and edition of Windows is the computer licensed, according to the COA sticker on the case? - Answers in your OWN thread please!

  • You don't uninstall anything - you fix it!

Please start a NEW thread/question of your own, and post an MGADiag report.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
     Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
      - **in your own thread**, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
