How to migrate to crm online from a crm backup RRS feed

  • Dear all,

    I have a crm server which has crashed and only thing I have in hand is the backup database.

    I have decide to move to crm online but how can I restore my actuall crm onpremise database to online and recover all my data?

  • Hi,
    you can't restore directly your onpremise database to a crm online instance.
    You need first restore as onpremise and after migrate the data to the online instance using a software like Scribe or the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Instance Adapter.

  • I have one question.

    My CRM server was accessible to my users through domain control which has burn out.
    I need to detach the CRM server from the domain and define a Workgroup only.

    Then how can my user can access the CRM server now as the previous token was from the dc controller. how can I add local workgroup account to crm access ?
