Question regarding 70-515 Web Applications and MCPD RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there

    A few questions.

To obtain an MCPD for Web do I have to pass all these exams (515, 513, 516, 519) ?

Secondly are these exams retiring anytime soon?  I had a look at the MS web site retire page and cannot see them.  I ask this as I won't finished all the exams until late 2014.

Thirdly, I am looking at MCDS Web apps for a future exam.  Is it easy to upgrade?

    Regards

  • Yes, in order to obtain the MCPD on Visual Studio 2010 you need those four exams. If I recall correctly, it was originally announced that they would be retiring on July 31, 2013, but then a later announcement cancelled it, and there is currently no set date for their retirement.

The upgrade to MCSD requires eams 480 and 492. In my own personal opinion, 480 is reasonably easy, but 492 is extremely hard.
