  • Question

  • Hi,

I am trying to schedule an exam in France, but in english (as a foreign language). According to the Microsoft website, additionnal time is provided in this case, but should be asked at scheduling, and schedule by phone. Prometric's website propose English or French when scheduling, but no information about "english as a foreign language".

I phoned Prometric but they can't tell me more about the necessary scheduling procedure (maybe I told to someone not aware of that...).

Is there really a procedure to benefit of this additionnal time, or is it automatic when I choose "English" on the Prometric website when scheduling ?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi,

This is what the official Exam Policies and FAQ says http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification-exam-policies.aspx#fbid=nTemxTEp9eN:

"Microsoft Certification exams are available in a variety of languages. However, candidates who must take the exam in English rather than their native language can request an additional 30 minutes. To request the additional 30 minutes, you need to register by phone rather than online. You must request this additional time when you register for the exam and make this arrangement before appearing at the testing center."

Based on that is seems that you will not get the 30 extra minutes automaticly if there is a version of the exam in your native language.

Maybe the exam center where you would like to do your exam has some experience with this issue? You can call them and if they also say that booking your exam by hone should work then give this a 2nd try.
