Startup always downloads huge amount

Question
-
Every time the Live Mesh client starts on my Vista PC, it always downloads a very large amount of data -- 290MB with the latest test, regardless of changes that have happened while offline. Here's a sample sequence:
- Start computer - Live Mesh launches
- In Notifier - downloads 290MB
- When download is complete, exit Live Mesh client by right-clicking notifier icon in system tray and choosing Exit
- Restart the Live Mesh client from the Start Menu
- In Notifier - it redownloads 290MB
Any ideas? Doesn't seem to happen on my XP machine.

Hi Timothy,
This is actually an active issue we're trying to track down that a few others have encountered. More information is always better, so if you can please submit feedback to us on Connect: http://connect.microsoft.com/livemesh
We will definintely need your logs for this one, so please attach them to the feedback.
To collect the logs:
Start, All Programs, Live Mesh, Collect Live Mesh logs.
It will put a file on your desktop called: LiveMeshLogs.cab
Thanks!

Is it actually downloading anything or is that the total contents of the Meshed data?
Are all of your Mesh folders in sync with the other devices and/or Live Desktop?

I have several GBs meshed to the Web Desktop, and about 20GB of photos that a just meshed between machines on my LAN. I don't know if it's actually downloading, but the download indicator appears under the computer on the Devices tab on the notifier. I appears to be downloading, I just don't know what.

Oh, and my bad. I think of this as my Vista machine but I'm actually running Win 7. Sorry.

I'll leave this thread unanswered. I don't think it is actually downloading, but since you are doing some P2P sync with no Live Desktop connection, that might be the file list being communicated between machines to compare status. That's just a wild guess on my part, though.
