Office reinstalled during upgrade from Vista to 7, now Office appears to be 'non-genuine' RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have been using office on my laptop for about a year without problems. I recently upgraded my operating system from Vista home to 7 professional, and I had to reinstall my office software (although I bought a Windows 7 upgrade disk, I actually had to do a clean install). Now my computer thinks I have an illegal copy of office 2007.

In actual fact I have uninstalled it then reinstalled it. I believe that MS thinks I have one too many instances in use for the same product key, whereas actually it is just a reinstall and there is only one active instance.

    Please advise,
    David Shewan
