  • Also,  If some of the characters are not being accepted, that would suggest that you may be mis-reading/mis-entering the character.

Qs can be Mistaken for 0s or Os, two V's can be mistaken for a W and so on.

    Thank you,

  • I tried typing the product KEY that I got carefully and clearly...but after hitting the NEXT key...it runs for awhile and then the same error code comes about.

Are you actually on a business network and that is where the computer is located where you are trying to enter the key?  If so contact your IT department and/or volume license distributor for assistance.

If this is a product for one computer, please tell us where you got the Vista OS that your are trying to activate.

  • Please start a NEW thread of your own, and post an MGADIag report

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
     Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
      - **in your own thread**, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
