Waiting Workflows and Async Service

  Hi everyone,

  I have heard/read conflicting information on the impact of waiting workflows.  I found several references on forums/blogs stating that the more waiting workflow instances we have the worse overall system performance we get.  Waiting workflows tend to put load on the Async Service.

  Our in-house expert does not seem to agree.  I requested for some references but have not received them yet.

  Last week alone, there were about 3000 waiting jobs created.  Some of the waiting jobs in the system were created back in mid 2014.
