I have a question regarding Windows Live One Care backups. I use this program to back up to my external harddrive...which is good, since the charging jack on my laptop died and I had to get a new one. The restore has gone very smoothly...but I'm wondering if there are any files in the backup that would have stored my firefox bookmarks. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Yes, OneCare backup should have backed up the bookmarks for Firefox, depending on your plan settings. I don't know how Firefox stores the bookmarks, but if it is a single file and that file already existed on the new PC, the bookmarks would have been restored to an alternate location on the new PC and OneCare would have reported that some files were restored to \Windows Live OneCare Restore or similarly named folder on the main system drive.
