upgrade to genuine office07

Question
-
Hello,
after a period of time the office07 installation on my worklaptop is concidered non-genuine. As it was not my laptop, nor did I do the installation of the office suite, I don't know why (or even care tbh) it is not genuine. I do want to use legal software as I am aware of the time and money is invested in the making of good program's and I am very fond of the new office.
I contacted the supplier of the schools office program's and ordered a genuine enterprise key via MS.KIS wich was delivered this morning.
Here goes the question: how do I upgrade my non genuine office to genuine? Is there a possibilty to re-enter a key? Or do I have to de-install the non-genuine office and reinstall? If I have to de-install will I lose my e-mails and my e-mailsettings, or are these saveguarded somewhere?
Kind regards,

Hello Simonnet,
Thank you for visiting out forums. First please run the MGA Diagnostic Tool and posting your results here in this thread. You will find the steps for running the Tool @ the following sticky post located here http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuineoffice/thread/8d640c5d-bb4b-4fcf-88d5-42355ed957ae . Your results will allow us to analyze what you are experiencing which will allow us to provide you with a resolution.
Also have you contacted your company's System Administrator? If you haven't please do so ASAP. We appreciate your concern for wanting to use genuine products. Let me provide you with some information regarding the use of non-genuine software. There are cases when people have downloaded non-genuine software from P2P file sharing sites or used a secon-hand burned copy of software. Research has shown that about half of the software copies available on P2P download sites are infected with root kits, spyware, Trojans, and other potentially harmful malware. One file in particular was very alarming. This file was an administrator account giving the attacker full control over both your system and data. I would be very concerned about your system integrity because Windows is non-genuine.
In regards to your question this falls outside the support scope for Windows Genuine Advantage. Please contact your Technical Account Manager "TAM" or Vendor Account Manager "VAM" manager for support. Also you can request help for Pro Support. I believe there may be charges associated with this depending on how you have the account arranged with your Volume Licensing.
Take care,
Stephen

Now for the weirder part. I am the ict-'manager' of the school. But I got this job fairly recent and without any knowledge of what happened before I came as responsible. So I really do not have a clue to what how and when the program was installed on the pc I am working on atm.
Kind Regards,
Ralph
