  • Hello jbaumgarten06,

    Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:

    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 104 Unknown PID
    Microsoft Office XP Professional - 100 Genuine
    Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 - 104 Unknown PID

    OGA Version: N/A, 0x80070002
    Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002
    Office Diagnostics: 77F760FE-153-80070002_7E90FEE8-175-80070002_B4D0AA8B-604-645_B4D0AA8B-604-645_025D1FF3-230-1_B4D0AA8B-920-80070057

    Your Dell computer has two installations of Office, Office XP Professional and Office Small Business 2003.

    The Office SBE 2003 is likely the one that is requesting activation because it is reporting as "Unknown PID" which I would have to guess means that the installation is damaged in some way that prevents the mgadiag utility from recognizing it, and maybe that damage is what caused the product to become unactivated.

    It is possible uninstalling and then reinstalling Office SBE 2003 would correct the problem, but you did mention that you no longer have the product key (and maybe no longer have the installation discs?), so there's not much we can do about it without the necessary tools.

    The other issue I see in your mgadiag report is that Office XP Professional is a Volume Licensing product.  Is the computer part of a larger organization that has a current and valid Volume Licensing Agreement with Microsoft?  If not, then your use of this product would be nongenuine.  If it is part of an organization that has a Volume Licensing Agreement, then you should report the problems you are having with Office activation to the organization's IT support staff.
