Trend Reports? [CRM 2011] [Charts] [Dashboards] RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there anyway to compare "this month vs. last month" charts with the difference calculated? I know I could have two charts, one for this month and the other for last month, and have users' guestimate the difference. But they (understandably) want the math done for them. Any ideas?

  • What I did was create a view that is based off of a custom "last activity date" field, filtering by dates within last 2 months. When an activity is performed regarding an account, I update that field via workflow. The chart (based on the aforementioned view) draws; it doesn't do the math but end-users can "eyeball" the difference.

  • I don't know that this type of aggregation and math can be done in a chart.  I think you probably need to look at doing an SSRS report.

  • Hi,

In CRM charts it is not possible comparing two different month, for this you need to develop a report or chart in SSRS and that you need to import into the CRM.
