  • A review of your MGA report reveals two noteable items:

    Windows License Type: OEM SLP

    Office Status: 108 Invalid VLK

    1)  You have a HP computer with a HP preinstalled version of Windows Vista.

HP is a major OEM supplier and is not eligible for the Bonus Pack Offer.

    Please review the following:

How can I tell if the copy of Microsoft Windows that was installed on my computer is eligible for the BONUS PACK offer?: http://www.localpcbuilder.com/eligible/

    2)  You have a non-genuine, illegal copy of Microsoft Office Enterprise installed.  Please visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/ and click on Validate Office for further information.

  • Thanks for the response and information Carey.

I am concerned about the response to the Office Enterprise installation - it was pre-installed when I purchased the notebook just as Vista was, and it is "activated"  - how can this be?

    Regards, and thanks once again,

  • Hi Ian,

If you recieved a licensed copy of Microsoft Office, complete with Certificate Of Authenticity (COA), it is possible that the installer simply took a shortcut by downloading an unlicensed copy onto your machine. Please visit the Office Genuine Advantage Validation Issues forum for information and assistance in determining if you have a licensed copy.

    Best regards,

    Jenifer
