Permission Error when Saving Service Activity in Outlook RRS feed

  • Our users are experiencing a permissions error when creating a Service Activity through outlook.  Looking at the log file it indicates:

    <Message>Principal user (Id=18725c70-5554-e011-86e4-1cc1def13751, type=8) is missing prvReadnew_emailgroup

    I am not sure where that refers to.  I approved the email in Dynamics.  I appreciate the help of this forum as always.

  • Do you have a custom entity new_emailgroup? Any lookups or 1:N relationship of this entity with service activity?

    Provide read permission to the custom entity and that might solve this problem. If its lookup the also provide append and append to permissions in service active and the custom entity.

    You will find the custom entity listed in the custom tab in security role.
