    I've been noticing that there has been steady increase in the new members joining the rock star.. nearly 3000 buddies have joined so far !!

    My friend just joined yesterday and his rank was 2994 with 51 points (50 for reg and 1 for login).

    So considering around 200 people who have just registered without any activity, there should be around 3200 members on this site..

    the main aim of this competition is to get people share knowledge and learn from others, and help others. But as human beings, everyone wants something in reward... and so getting points also is becomming an issue here.

    If there wasn;t such a competition held, then i guess most of the people including me wouldn't even care to serve and get served from this MS forums :)

    if a new member joins this contest most probably he's the one with least number of points...so he is going to be at the last position...if his rank is 3000 then it indirectly means that there r 3000 members...also if that 3000th person is ur friend then u can know the number of members easily...

    what if there are many members who haven't done anything, just created an account, all their rank will be the same, For ex. if their rank is 3000 then there are many people actually members of the site, but are sharing the same ran.

    it's not possible that multiple persons share a common rank, at least on rockstar.
