Windows activitation key problem after virus scan(malwarebytes) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi sir. When I used a windows pc in a public computer/internet cafe and test a virus scan with (malwarebytes) their pc is not functioning and cannot proceed to windows and require the activation key.  Maybe they are using the license copy with the aid of key generator (keygen) application to activate the windows OS.  Sir is it possible that the license which activated by keygen or activator application or other apps that have they same means will expire after virus scan.  I need your concern about this because the owner of the public internet cafe is blaming me after the test scan.  May I ask the other concern why windows was turn to its expiration date.  I felt guilty because they are pointing their hands on me.  Hope you will address this post.  THX IN ADVANCE...

  • To properly analyze and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

    Once downloaded, run the tool.

Click on the Continue button, after a short time, the Continue button will change to a Copy button.

Click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your post.

Please state the version and edition of windows from your COA. do not state the product key from the COA.

    Please stick to one thread.

If Windows is locking you out of the system because of being non-genuine, it's NOT Windows 7!

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

As far as getting the machine to complete boot, try this... - if the machine is WIndows XP, it should getthe system booting, at least.

Boot into "Safe Mode with Command prompt".

At the run command prompt type the following EXACTLY

    rundll32.exe syssetup,SetupOobeBnk

*NOTE: The "Oo"'s in Oobe are "oh's" - not "zero's" There is one space after rundll32.exe.

    Hit the Enter key

Reboot the PC into normal mode

Hopefully, you'll now be able to log in and run an MGADiag report, and have time to sort the problem out.
