Error With Configuring Claim Base Authentication CRM 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi CRM Experts,

I am configuring Claim Based Authentication for CRM 2013 for a customer

    Here are the details

Customer have two domains DomainA.com and DomainA.local.abc

CRM 2013 is installed on Machine 1 which is having domain DomainA.local.abc

Federation Service is installed on Machine 2 which is also having domain DomainA.local.abc

Customer have issued a wild card SAN certificate (*.DomainA.com)

I have configured federation service xml and I am able to call that XML from CRM machine without any certificate errors but when I am giving the same URL while configuring claim based authentication wizard I am getting error that url is not valid. Is this issue because of separate domain??? if yes then how to configure this.

    Thanks in Advance!!!

  • If the certificate is for DomainA.com, then that will have to be the domain name that is configured for the CRM and Federation Services websites, and for the domain names that you configure within the CRM Configure Claims Authentication wizard.

The domain used for Claims authentication is independent of the domain to which a machine belongs in Active Directory
