scanning a NAS RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I've attached a NAS to my network and would like to use onecare to scan it.  how can I a) see a log of what got scanned and b) direct OneCare to scan this drive on the network?  I have mapped the NAS as a drive on my machine.

You can scan an individual file or files manually by right clicking the files and selecting Scan for Viruses from Windows Explorer, but you cannot do this with an entire folder or drive.

I'm also quite sure that you would be unhappy with the performance of a scan over the network of your NAS.

You can confirm what has been scanned by opening OneCare and clicking on Change Settings and then the Logging tab, create a support log to view a report in your browser.
