Becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) does not give you any free software license keys.

There was a time (many years ago) when your welcome kit after you got a certification came with a special offer for either a Technet subscription or an MSDN subscription. However, this is no longer the case as far as I can tell. You don't get any special offers for free or reduced price software anymore with Microsoft certifications.

Where did you hear/read this? If you look at the MS Learning site, nowhere on it does it indicate this.
