The error in your report indicates that this machine was probably reinstalled using Retail media, rather than the proper manufacturer's Recovery media.
You need to change the Product Key to the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case (or inside the battery compartment), using the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System properties page.
You may need to activate by phone.

That still does not work. And how was it reinstalled? All I do is power my computer and listen to music. I don't take it anywhere or install too much on it. I need this fixed.

did you get your product key changed?
post a new report so we can check it.

no, it won't accept my product key that's listed on my computer. What are my other options?Sunday, February 10, 2013 2:34 PM

What is the exact error message you get when you attempt to change it?
0xC004F050 usually means that you've misread a character - either C/G/6 or B/8 or Y/V are the most common, an O/0 is almost always a Q
Note that the following characters cannot be used - A E I L N O S U Z 1 0 - so don't bother trying unless you like the noise it makes :)
For which version and edition of Windows is the COA sticker valid?

I don't know, maybe I typed it in differently before and mistyped. But it worked now. Thank you for your help. I truly appreciate it.Tuesday, February 12, 2013 1:22 AM
