Creating a new solution for an existing entity, creates a new Form by default ? RRS feed

  • I've created a new solution in CRM 2011 with an existing entity "Phone Call". I was doing some changed in the Main Form and I discovered later that there is a new Form in my Phone Call entity called "Phone Call" with "Form Type=Main" and state "Unmanaged".

    I'm not sure if it existed before creating the new solution or not, but was this Form created by default when I created the solution ? Is this a normal behavior or it must have been there before creating the solution ?

    Maybe you Save with Save As Button. Try to save with Save Button.

  • Adding entities to a solution does not create new forms. The 'Phone Call' form would have been created as part of the rollup12 update.

  • Create a solution will not create a form automatically. The entity named form is introduced by Polaris update rollup 12 once you enabled the new forms.
